Zeolite Powder
The main ingredient of Repair Powder is natural zeolite,
primarily clinoptilolite.
The zeolite used in Repean has an exceptionally high cation
exchange capacity (CEC) of 170 meq/100g — among the best in the
world.
Its negative ions attract and absorb substances such as calcium
in saliva that cause plaque and tartar buildup.
In addition, the zeolite used in Repair Powder is the same grade
used as a livestock feed additive,
making it completely safe even if swallowed.
(Its adsorption properties help absorb ammonia gas inside the
animal’s body and support intestinal balance.)
Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) of Natural Zeolite
What is Cation Exchange Capacity?
Zeolite is a negatively charged mineral that attracts and holds cations. CEC refers to its ability to adsorb and retain positively charged ions such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, and ammonium.
* Zeolite is also used in livestock feed.
Superior Functions of Cationic Zeolite
What is Zeolite?
Formed millions of years ago from volcanic ash and magma deposits, zeolite is an aluminosilicate mineral with countless micropores. These pores act like a sponge, absorbing calcium, magnesium, and other minerals in saliva that cause tartar. Zeolite also captures odor-causing bacteria and impurities, keeping the mouth clean and fresh.
* An active volcano in Yamagata Prefecture — one of Japan’s main sources of natural zeolite.
